at order to set up a decisive seven-wicket victory at Tarouba, the St Lucia Kings spinners Tabraiz Shamsi, Roston Chase, and Khary Pierre combined seven wickets and bowled the Trinbago Knight Riders for 109. With the win, the Kings advanced to the 2025 CPL playoffs.
With their fourth consecutive victory that put them atop the points table, Tim Seifert, Ackeem Auguste, Chase, and Tim David made sure the chase was over before the beginning of the 12th over to significantly increase their net run rate. After the game, they lost the top rank, ending TKR’s winning streak of five straight games.
After Kings decided to bowl, Pierre scored on the game’s second ball. He had Colin Munro caught off guard during a low-key delivery. Before Nicholas Pooran, the captain, made a quick comeback, Darren Bravo chipped Pierre to short fine leg for 11 in the third over.
However, Kings started to falter after Chase ended the powerplay by bowling Hales for nine. After ten overs, forty for two quickly turned into 59 for five.
