[Saba Sports News] After his Golden State Warriors narrowly defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 141-139, Steve Kerr had high praise for the Thunder and issued a warning about their potential.
Kerr acknowledged the Thunder’s growth and talent, stating, “These guys are coming.” He specifically noted Chet Holmgren’s return to health and how it has added a new dimension to their team. Kerr emphasized that the Thunder, with their talent and strong coaching, will be a significant factor throughout the season.
The Thunder, known for their success in the 2010s with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, continued to be competitive even after Durant’s departure. They went through a brief rebuilding period and showed significant improvement, going 40-42 last season.
With a roster featuring players like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Josh Giddey, Lu Dort, and Holmgren, they are a young, homegrown team with a promising future, and Kerr is well aware of it.
