[Saba Sports News] Prior to the highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup held in India, Suryakumar Yadav, a prominent figure in Indian cricket, shared a lighthearted plea with his friends and family. The 33-year-old requested that they refrain from asking him for match tickets and, instead, enjoy the game from the comfort of their own homes.
In a humorous manner, Suryakumar took to his social media account to convey this message. Notably, the much-anticipated match is scheduled for October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In his Instagram story, Suryakumar wrote, ‘Bhailog ghar pe acche acche TV hain sabke enjoy karo, aur AC mein baith ke match dekho. No more ticket requests pls.’
Suryakumar’s Inclusion Expected in the ODI World Cup 2023 Clash Against Pakistan
Although Suryakumar Yadav did not participate in India’s initial two matches against Australia and Afghanistan, there is anticipation that the 33-year-old cricketer will be part of the playing XI in the high-profile ODI World Cup 2023 match against Pakistan. In the game against Afghanistan, India opted for Shardul Thakur in place of Ravichandran Ashwin, providing batting depth to the team. However, the team may consider adding a specialist batsman, creating an opportunity for Suryakumar.
Ishan Kishan is set to continue as the opening batsman alongside captain Rohit Sharma, as Shubman Gill’s participation remains uncertain.
Despite a slow start with a duck in the first game, Rohit made a strong comeback, scoring a remarkable century against Afghanistan. Kishan, despite one subpar performance, is expected to make an impact against the Pakistani team.
Furthermore, Virat Kohli, who delivered two half-centuries in the initial games, will bat in the third position. Suryakumar Yadav is likely to take the sixth spot, with Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul batting at the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
The batting lineup will be followed by Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, and Kuldeep Yadav. India may also contemplate replacing Mohammed Siraj with Mohammed Shami.
