Texas blow Orcas out of the contest with a stunning bowling display to skittle them out for just 60 runs total.
Texas bundle Seattle Orcas for 60 for third straight win.
In MLC 2025, the Texas Super Kings easily won their third straight game, while the Seattle Orcas lost for the second time in a row after being bundled for just 60 on a pitch with inconsistent bounce in Oakland. The TSK quicks reduced the Orcas to 21 for 5 in five overs, and they were bowled out in 13.5 overs for a 93-run thumping. The Orcas were chasing a small goal of 154, but they never looked like they would reach it.
The Orcas openers collapsed within seven balls after failing to duplicate their impressive opening stand from their first game. Faf du Plessis made a superb diving grab at cover off left-arm fast Zia-ul-Haq, and David Warner was sent back after Kyle Mayers spooned an easy out to cover point off Nandre Burger.
Burger was mishandled by Steven Taylor as well, but Zia’s huge double blow in the fifth over left Orcas five down as he yorked skipper Heinrich Klaasen for a duck and had the seasoned Sikandar Raza feather behind a short ball.
After trapping left-hand batsmen Sujit Nayak and Harmeet Singh leg before wicket, left-arm wristspinner Noor Ahmad, who took the most wickets for the Chennai Super Kings in the most recent IPL, dealt Orcas another double blow and completed a hat-trick. He sent down a full toss to Jasdeep Singh, missing the hat-trick, but it barely affected the outcome because Aaron Jones, who finished with 17 runs, quickly surrendered a catch to Noor, who finished with 3 for 18. Zia took 3 for 16 from his three overs during the powerplay, and Burger finished the game with 3 for 10.
