USA Cricket has unveiled its U19 men’s squad for the ICC Americas Regional Qualifier, set to be played from August 7 to 17, 2025, at the Param Veers Sports Complex in Georgia. The tournament will feature USA, Canada, Bermuda, and Argentina, with only one qualifying spot available for the 2026 ICC U19 Men’s World Cup.
The team will be captained by Arjun Mahesh with Shiv Shani as vice-captain. The 15-member squad includes promising talents such as Utkarsh Srivatsava, Amrinder Singh, Sahil Garg, Adnit Jhamb, Nitish Sudhini, Sabarish Prasad, Saharsh Swethan, Adit Kappa, Advait Krishna, Arya Garg, Supransh Kumar, Ansh Rai, and Sahir Bhatia.
The qualifier follows a round-robin format, with the USA’s key fixtures including clashes against Canada on August 9 and 16, Bermuda on August 10 and 13, and Argentina on August 12 and 15. The top team at the end of the competition will book a ticket to the U19 World Cup.
USA enters the event with momentum from recent strong performances. Earlier this year, they won South Africa’s CSA Cubs Week and finished runners-up in the CWI Rising Stars U19 Championship in the Caribbean, where many of the same players gained valuable experience under pressure.
Head Coach Vincent Kumar expressed confidence in the squad, highlighting their discipline and preparation, while Men’s Player Director Srini Salver noted the significance of qualifying for back-to-back U19 World Cups as a milestone for American cricket development.
Hosting the tournament in Georgia is also a key step for the sport in the US, giving local fans the chance to witness a high-stakes international event. With a blend of experienced youth performers and emerging prospects, the USA squad is aiming to seize the lone qualification spot and cement their place on the global U19 stage once again.
